I don't rush wedding photography.  I don't count the hours, and I don't skimp on film. I prefer to be paid fairly and spend whatever time is needed to make a fantastic document of the events.

I like to be around for the rehearsal/dinner the day before so I can get to know who the key players are (family and close friends) and for them to know me.

Weddings are emotionally-charged, chaotic events and don't suit themselves to static, posed shots, although I'll do those too if you want.  The best way to catch the action is to constantly move around and to shoot a *lot* of film, preferably when your subjects don't realise you're there.  My style has been variously described as candid, photojournalistic, artistic, documentary, fashion oriented and more - but whatever it is, people seem to like it.

As for the technical stuff, I bring multiple bodies, a bunch of fast lenses and shoot a huge number of shots.  For weddings I shoot formals on Kodak Portra 160NC and 400NC color print film, and everything else on high end digital.  Although I prefer available light, I also bring my own lighting. I also use an assistant, but only for the grunt work - carrying stuff, reloading film backs and handing me lenses.

My basic full-day fee is $1950. This includes:

          Complimentary Engagement Portrait including one 8x10 print

          Attendance at the Rehearsal and Dinner (subject to availability)

          Photography during the full Wedding Day, from morning preparations to
          the tossing of the bouquet.

          A Proof Album with 200 carefully edited colour and B&W 4x6 shots (out
          of over 1000 total shots)

My price for a half-day (4 hours) is $995 and includes a proof album wih 100 4x6's.
